Julia Miralles

Julia Miralles writes songs that live somewhere between a late-night drive and a half-remembered dream. A Philadelphia-born, Nashville-based singer-songwriter, guitarist, and visual artist, she creates atmospheric, introspective indie and dream-pop music rooted in emotional honesty and a distinctive sense of mood.

Growing up surrounded by her parents' eclectic music collection and the sounds of her father's band rehearsing in the family basement, Julia developed an early connection to music. Influenced by artists ranging from Joan Jett to Fiona Apple, she began writing poetry before finding her voice through guitar and songwriting. Her recording journey has since taken her from Philadelphia's legendary Studio 4 to collaborations with producers John Faye and Nashville-based Tyler Cain.

For Julia, music and visual art are inseparable. Working across painting, photography, and mixed media, she brings the same creative instincts to her songs and the imagery surrounding them. Each becomes another way of exploring the same feeling.

An experienced live performer, Julia has performed her original music throughout the Philadelphia region, including two appearances at Musikfest and multiple shows at 118 North, as well as an intimate acoustic set at New York City's iHeartRadio/Z100 Dunkin' Latte Lounge. Selected for School of Rock's highly competitive AllStars program, she has also completed three intensive tours as a featured vocalist and guitarist, with ensemble performance credits including Sony Hall in New York City and Tin Roof in Nashville.

Now studying songwriting at Belmont University, Julia is establishing herself within Nashville's independent music community while continuing to write, record, and perform original music that is entirely her own.
